When We Are Closed

For out of hours emergencies (18:30 to 08:00, and at weekends) patients need to ring 111 for the NHS out of hours service.

If you need to be seen you will be asked to visit the emergency clinic which is based in Stowmarket Health Centre, Violet Hill Road, Stowmarket or Riverside Clinic, Landseer Road, Ipswich.

Please only use the out-of-hours service if your medical condition is such that you cannot wait until the surgery opens again. The provision of an out-of-hours service costs the NHS a considerable amount of money and resources are stretched by inappropriate use, meaning that patients who really need attention have to wait longer. Think about whether or not you could wait until tomorrow.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
